actual experiences in this week's email!

Well I have to be honest.  This email is not really to my family and friends, it's actually to my mission president and I'm just sending you the same email.  I just feel really bad that I don't have another email for you guys this week! haha Well we had a short P-day the week before last week because we took out the new missionary girls, last week every thing wrong happened to the computer (It kept freezing, my library card didn't work, then it wouldn't sink to the printer! Ugh!, anyway and then this week you can read about in my email to the president. I promise I will get better at this! haha

Hola President! I hope you are doing well and had a fantastic Easter Sunday! Sorry that you were stuck at church and not at home celebrating with you family. I really appreciate all that you do! Thank you so much for also going out of your way to introduce yourself to our investigator Roger.  He was so excited that the "Boss" would take time to notice him.  He is a really great guy and even though he is scared of large crowds he said that "Mormon people" aren't as scary. haha It is so fun to see him go to church because he is a real celebrity there! Easter Sunday was honestly the best Sunday that I have had here yet! It was a miracle! We not only had Roger there but David Howie and Sheree came as well!  I was really surprised to see Sheree there because she was pretty on the fence about it because she had a lot of Easter plans with family so we were so happy when she came.  Everything went so smoothly too! We had fellow shippers for both Roger and David so we could worry about the people who showed up without letting us know so it was perfect because we could be there for Sheree!

O.K. Pause... Yet another miracle just happened! A man, Gregory, that was using the computer next to me just started talking to me.  I am not going to lie because he took almost an hour talking to me and last Monday when I was emailing the computer I was on kept on freezing so I didn't even get to email my family. I almost think Heavenly Father doesn't want me to email them or I needed some humbling because yet another miracle happened!  Gregory said that he had noticed that we come every Monday and sit in the same place and joked how we should have the right to reserve our places and then we started talking about missionary work and he is a service missionary for the Catholic church so we were talking about that and his family from the Philippians. It was pretty awesome because where he grew up was where sister Bishop's mother served! So awesome anyway so eventually, more like finally haha, He said he didn't want to take anymore of my time and that he would most likely see us next Monday. Good thing sister Bishop ran to give him a card and he said that he was really excited because he wants to bring his nephew here to listen to us because he wont listen to anyone about religion or really anything at all but he might listen to girls so hopefully for the right reasons! haha but he is going to call us with a time and place to meet up with him and his nephew! So exciting! Miracles happen even on your "break!"

Un pause! It was a real privilege to take out the new sisters! Thank you so much for that! I really enjoyed the experience to not only see how much I have grown but to see how the newbies were so excited and had so much more faith than I have had! Wow amazing! When I had taken out Sister Goodman and Sister Hartley to go finding we had an incredible thing happen! We found this sweet old lady Sister Moore! Her daughter is an active LDS member and she even works for the church cannery? |I think that is what it is called. :) It was really cool because her son, (Sister Moore's grandson,) walked in.  He is nonactive but I could tell he was really listening as we talked. I really hope we are able to meet with her again.  She said she was too busy now because her daughter is in the hospital but I really hope that she really will call us when she has recovered!

I also really enjoyed taking out sister Sorenson out for exchanges! She is painfully quiet but my talents of being a good talker got to her! haha She wouldn't stop talking by the end of the day! Yeaaah! I rock! haha just kidding I am humble.... Anyway I have to brag a little more because when we were doing comp study and 12 week training we practiced doing the restoration by timing each of the bullet points for less than two minutes.  Ok sorry that was confusing but anyway we learned how to teach the restoration simply and more powerfully! Which definitely helped the both of us because she told me that she had never taught at a door approach or felt confident that she could.  So cool! We also had been memorizing the First Vision all day, in the car, as we walked, when we ate.. so on.. but we both learned it! Well I had previously but because it's me and my awesome memorizing problem had forgotten most of it! haha Well anyway when we were out finding it was my turn to door approach and I usually don't have too much of a problem at doors but for some reason I couldn't speak! If was defiantly the Holy Ghost because she started teaching until the girl, Destiny, just asked if we would like to come in. It was incredible! We both taught so simply and powerfully! She even recited the first vision!!!!! Soooo amazing! The spirit even told me to teach from a story out of the Book of Mormon and she said that her family had gone through the same trial and it really touched her! We later found out that she was only 15.  Holy cow she looked older than us! haha but we are really hoping to teach her whole  family next Friday! Over all an awesome week!
